Meghan Oliver Joins Mariners Volleyball Program

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The College of Coastal Georgia Volleyball Program adds transfer Meghan Oliver to their 2021 roster. The 6’0″ junior will play primarily as a middle blocker.

At Trinity Christian Academy High School Oliver was a three-time letter winner. Her team was the 2017 District 4A Champions. She played for OTVA for club volleyball.

Before signing with Coastal Georgia Oliver also attended South Florida State College (NJCAA DII) where she collected a variety of accolades. In 2020 she was named All-Sun-Lakes Conference second team and DII FCSAA All-State second team. In 2021 Oliver was named DII FCSAA All-State first team, All-Sun-Lakes Conference Player of the Year Runner Up and first team, and DII FCSAA All-Tournament team. Her team was the runner-up at state.

Oliver’s favorite memory was winning the semi-final match to play in the 2021 NJCAA DII State Championship match. Her favorite athlete is Ronda Rousey, the person she admires most is her former college coach Kimberly Crawford and her pre-game ritual is to dance.

At Coastal Georgia Oliver plans to major in health sciences. After college, her career goal is to become a firefighter.
